Orange holds the capacity to help people concentrate, assist them with creativity, and keep them engaged in their work. Humans can see light that registers in between 390 and 700 nanometers. Orange light has a wavelength of about 590NM. This number is considerably higher, and has effects on the brain that would be a result of this (Madigan). The hypothalamus is stimulated to raise vital functions much like the color red, although not to the extent that red affects the brain. This is how the color orange keeps people engaged in their work. Orange is a combination of red and yellow. Red is the color responsible for the increased stimulation of the hypothalamus, and yellow is a color that is very common for being associated with happiness. This combination of focus and happiness drives people to have a creative mindset (Dena). Colors like blue, purple, and green have lower wavelengths that promote deeper thinking, but because orange has a higher wavelength it will not so easily allow someone to become lost in thought. This means that even though a creative mind has taken over a person’s mental faculties, they will still be able to concentrate
