The color guard became a part of the marching band in the late 1940s and 1950s. The rifles

we use today in guard are replicas of the drill sergeants M1. Color Guard is a very fun activity

that requires lots of skill and motivation, having a riffle, gloves, patience and dedication are very

important.

There are not many items needed to begin learning how to spin a rifle. The first thing is a

rifle itself of coarse one of these is needed. Patience and dedication are also very important

things that will be essential for this art form. The very last thing that is required is to bring

yourself.
