The French and Indian war were several battles fought between Britain and France with its Indian Allies. Britain in order to further its cause turned to extensive borrowing of money. Which ultimately led to britain victory and the signing the Treaty of Paris in 1762. This though left Britain with severe debt and the need to to tax the colonist of North america more heavily which left them discontent with Britain. Colonist may have disliked having to pay more taxes but the never argued they wouldn't, the real reason for the start of the American revolution was the fact the Treaty of Paris left Britain with even more land west of the colonies. Colonist having fought in the war were ecstatic to know they could now expand and grow their own patch
