There were jobs for everyone. Going into the early 20th century technology began helping things become easier for people. That’s when jobs became scarce. Such as when there were horse drawn carriages people were hired to clean up horse manure from the streets, but as soon as the automobile came out and horse and buggy’s were gone so were the jobs. Before farm technology, farmers hired men to help with the fencing and cattle and feeding. But technology such as the tractor helped farmers save money by not hiring men to help. That meant even less jobs. Once the telephone came out, workers in telegraph offices along with the telegraphs went out. Now should I blame technology for it. Maybe not all, but I think technology has lessen the need for hired workers. I mean at Walmart before they had shelf checkouts they had a person at every register in the store ready to check customers out but now people just go to self-checkout while a few registers stay open at a …show more content…
It is hard for older people to find jobs because they cannot meet educational requirements. To me there can be no fix to having more jobs available, unless the skill requirements lower or if employers will offer those without an education, job training. Not only that but for economic growth, taxes and laws have got to work to make the lives on middle and lower class citizens easier. I know someone who made 1000 for a paycheck but then the government took 500 dollars out for taxes. So, this person made only 500 dollars for the week. And this person has a family to provide
