Colon Cleanse Pros And Cons

Decent Essays
“Irrigating your colon doesn’t sound pleasant, but practitioners claim it can provide numerous health benefits like better digestion and weight loss. However, doing a colon cleanse doesn’t come without risks. Like most lifestyle practices, it should be approached carefully, with sufficient knowledge of the potential dangers.” (Schaefer, 2015)
After reviewing the entire article I will say that I like the Authors point of view on this style of treatment. Being able to state pros and cons of any “Medical” procedure is an honest assessment that does not claim to be the end all and be all for complete colon health. It does not completely discredit the procedure but it does state the down side of it which can and should be common sense to masses, anything that is worthwhile will take time. There is no such thing as an easy fix in life and we have to understand that we are our own worst enemies when it comes to what we put in our bodies. There would not be a need to detox your colon if you eat clean and take care of ourselves.

Microscopically, the colon shows thinning of the microvilli and abnormalities within cytoplasmic organelles.…
