The Importance Of Writing In College

We write because we are reacting to something or someone. It is seen as an individual act, but it turns into a social act. It 's the way in which we respond to the people and world around us. Writing is fascinating, we are writing to audiences for particular reasons. Writing in College would be the same and even more extreme. We are adults in college and we learn more and more about the society we live in, we are given the opportunity to explore more and spread our words on paper. Our job is to catch the audience 's attention and drive them into our thoughts. It’s not all sunshine and roses, it’s going to be a hectic ride. College writing will be difficult just because we discover different people have different opinions about what goes around in our world. We meet new subjects and we have to learn how to adapt and move through it with success. When I read Nancy Sommers article, “ I stand here writing”, she made it clear that college writing is difficult. We will be in many situations where we hit and run, but we miss.
