College Worth: Bright and Successful Future. A college degree represents the hard work and effort a person determines in order to accomplish futuristic goals that they are trying to reach. After finishing high school, students are influenced to continue their learning path and start focusing on what career they should choose in order to succeed in their lives followed with choosing an institution that best fits their comforts and offers the education wanted. “Post-secondary education should help students to discover what they have to do, to get better at it, and develop the ability to continue learning so that they become agents of change- not victims of it” (Roth). One of the major problems faced by the people that try to apply to a college is the high amount of tuition required to obtain the education required in order to gain the degree planned. “Tuition numbers can be eye-popping, and student debt has increased significally” (Leonhardt). However, this problem contains numerous solutions such as student loans and scholarships that provides students aid in order to pay college tuition fee. “Many colleges aren’t very expensive, once financial aid is taken into account” (Leonhardt). Scholarships can be founded online, and they aren’t strict in choosing students, they avoid looking on good grades earned in high school and focus more on their personal worth. “Finding money for college just got as easy as earning good grader or holding a leadership in a club” (Ondursek). Likewise, there are an infinitely amount of scholarships with different topics that people can apply and qualify in order to receive aid to pay for their education. The education received at a college institution provides students to expand their knowledge, increase their experience, and learn about important content that will help them in the career that they decided to take. “Education helps people do high-skilled work, get jobs with better paying companies or open their own businesses” (Leonhardt). Comparing the education taught in college with the education from high school, college education is more focused on training students to face real life situations and also they’re stricter in order to make students to become more responsible in their task. In the other hand, high school education is mainly about the basic studies, leading students discover what they want their future to look like, without preparing them for real life situations and helping them grow intellectually. A college graduate person is more disposed to succeed because they obtained greater discipline, knowledge and experience, “college graduates place more emphasis on intellectual growth, while those who are not in college place more emphasis on career preparation” (Pew and Social Demographic Trends).
