Compare/Contrast Essay: Is College Better Than High School?

When you were in high school did you ever imagine what college is going to be like? Are they similar or different? Is college better than high school? I used to think about those question myriad amount of times. In movies, they made college seem really easy, that there was minimal amount of studying to do and that must of your time there was going to be fun. So, my expectations going into college was high, I knew that they’re usually over exaggerated, but I didn’t think that the whole experience into going to college for the first time was going to be completely different. Transitioning from high school to college is a big step in life. There is innumerous amount of differences between the two, but also a couple of similarities between them too. In high school everything just seemed easier, everything was planned and you didn’t have to take responsibilities on your own. During the four years in high school you always have someone to help you do something, whether is your teachers, parents, people from the grade above or even your classmates. First, your teachers are always there to give you a helping hand they tell you when your assignment’s due, help us with the assignments themselves and how they want their assignments to be. Teachers are helping you through life like they’re helping their own children.
