I was born into family who felt my time should be spent on studying in school instead of playing sports. So when I began to play tennis, my mom would always frown upon me every time I fell trying to reach and hit the ball or when I accidentally hit myself on my head with my racquet. But this only brought motivation to prove my mom wrong. I wanted to become the tennis players I once saw during the match at berkeley. Whenever I had any free time after school or before, I would always find a way to practice my game. I challenged my friends and their parents play a match or if no one was available I would hit against the wall until it went dark. Sometimes I would even jog to school before school starts to increase my endurance level. I wanted to do whatever it takes to be the best tennis player I can be. With all this training, I knew my determination would be my key to reaching my goal no matter what anyone else said. When I join my high school tennis team, I was immediately engulfed in an environment full of highly skilled players. It was a bit intimidating at first, but as the season progressed, I began to create a bond with my teammates that no one else can replicate though the experience and memories we shared. I learned that tennis isn’t about winning or losing, it's about the laughs you share with you teammates, the passion and enthusiasm shared amongst each other, and the
