While some may claim that solutions to the fast food effect on young Americans lies in different aspects, yet the only reasonably effective solutions are based on creating a healthy and well-rounded college environment (Agrawal). By surrounding students with a culture of wellness with organic gardens that supply the dining hall, gyms, yoga centers, and several recreation centers will push the students to choose a healthy living and begin feeling good about their selves (Agrawal). When a person makes the decision to devote four or more years of their lives to an institution created for higher education, it is hard to clear see the health choices that are made (Agrawal). It is also very important to provide students with basic knowledge about the importance of eating a healthy diet in college (Agrawal). When joining any college or university, it is important that all students know how to: identify the importance of having a healthy diet on a campus setting, find and describe the best range of options that are available with consideration to the eating plans on campus, and explore different healthy choices whether they live in dorms or apartments (Agrawal). According to Gores in 2008, when a college student gains weight at these early stages in life, it is commonly to continue after one has graduated (Agrawal). Additionally, according to the American College Health Association, focusing on one’s wellness will be beneficial to both physical and mental health (Al-Amari & Al-Khamees). Doing simple tasks such as having a balanced diet and daily exercise will help build well functioning bones, reduce high blood pressure, and many heart diseases (Al-Amari & Al-Khamees).
