College should offer students not only a strong academic awareness, but it should be friendly, helping and nurturing place for students. Concern of student’s personal and academic well-being should always be in a center of College’s mission. The student service program I would like to offer would be called “Arizona Hope and Help” or “AHH” and it would be focused on providing non-academic support for all at-risk students. The services, of course, would be provided free of charge to meet the unique and various needs of large group of “at-risk” students. In a highly competitive global economy, we need the best-educated workforce in the world. It is in the best interests of our country and our future to make sure that hundreds of thousands of bright people afford to go to college, and be able to graduate and find a good job to provide for themselves and the society.
The target students for the program would be considered the following individuals:
First time college students
First generation college students
Foreign students (non-immigrant student on J-1 and F-1 visas, immigrants recently moved to the USA, refugees and other groups)
Students with different abilities (ADHD, dyslexia, physical condition, autism and more)
Students with permanent and temporary physiological and emotional issues (single parents, students who recently lost a job or a close person and suffer from grief or depression, as well as people who…
