As a high school Sophmore it is the perfect time to began the college recruiting process. For me, as I Just moved half way across the country, getting my name out was very important. Going to as many college camps and campuses was exactly what I needed.

Even then the doctor that day took me by surprises. He told me the injuries to my ankle were more serious then they looked. They would take one surgery, eight months of recovery, and a lifetime of pain and irritation to my left ankle. I still remember that conversation in slow motion. I still remember thinking to myself if coming back to soccer was even worth it? I remember wondering how much of how I play would change.
For a long time I had to began to imagine what a life without soccer would be like. Until one day my father came into my room and simply decided we would sit on the ground and roll a ball back and fourth to each other. No conversation occurred. For hours we just staired at the ball as it rolled across my bedroom floor.
In that moment I knew I had to come back. I had to be stronger and better than before! I knew that I could not let my ambisssions slip away. Recovery was hard, harder than anything ever done before. But as I began to see myself return to the sport I had loved my whole life I knew what my father told me was true!
