College Prep Scholar: Student Analysis

Applying for Questbridge and being accepted as a College Prep Scholar was one of the best things to happen my junior year. I learned about the program from my English teacher and as soon as she finished explaining the guidelines, I knew that I would apply. One of the perks of being selected was being able to attend their admissions conference, along with winning the opportunity to attend summer programs that focused in STEM. For an entire week before the selected students were announced, I was checking my application, anxious to see whether I had made the cut.
Finally, the time came for me to check my status, and I was fearing failure as I logged onto my account and clicked on my application. The day arrived promptly and I was nervous, I was going to be subjected to twelve hours of interactions with brilliant teenagers from all over the country. However, that faded away soon and before I knew it, introductions were over and we were off to our first informational meeting. The rest of the day was a blur of gaining valuable information on everything from admission essays to finding your best fit for college as well as making new friends.
