It's the first year of college. You're stoked, ready to move out, live on your own, be free. Your parents warned you, but your friends helped you. Homework needs to get done, but parties are too important. Your teachers aren't always there for you, but food is. The freshman 15 is a common expression used to refer to the amount of weight being gained during a student's first year at college. It's a common thing and can happen to anybody, but what's stopping us from stopping it. Food, stress, and parties can have a huge impact on weight gain, but there are ways of keeping this from happening. College is a big deal for young adults and has the ability of changing lives in good and even some bad ways.
The cliche phrase, "the freshman 15," is common toward first year college students and it's an easy thing to obtain. There is a huge difference between high school and college, stress rises, eating habits change, and going out more and sleeping less starts occurring a lot more frequently. Organization is key when it comes to this situation. Instead of procrastinating, waiting until last minute, or not even doing assignments at all, organize your out and set priorities. It can help impact you and your body in great ways. Parties happen every weekend, but do we really need to go out every Friday and Saturday night. Not going out all the time can help improve your sleep schedule, which can help maintain a healthy weight. Eating healthier is a good start to a good weight as well. You'll feel better and lot more confident.
Freshman 15 is common and can become very serious for those who don't treat their body right. There are many ways to stop the freshman 15 from happening to first year college students and many ways to enjoy college without worrying about the weight gain that could potentially
