White picket fences and green lawns—the dreams of dreamers and what they work hard for. Still, to get to the ideal American Dream there has to be work to sustain the water bill to pay for those green lawns. As well as some extra cash for the paint that goes into that picket fence. Not as simple as it looks, but everyone’s first guess to success is a college degree. However, there are people who might think that thousands of dollars of debt won’t get the job. Many have chosen to dropout and many have succeeded. As someone in college, I have to think of the different possibilities before any decision making. Steve jobs, David Karp and Bill Gates. Without a doubt, it’s appeared that dropping out is easy. An album could be released or the next top-selling movie could be looking for an actress. However, luck plays a huge card when it comes to success. Whether you hold a degree or not, sometimes luck gets the best of us or some people just don’t have any luck. Holding faith in luck is much too risky however, because not everyone is set to be an amazing singer or design a computer system for the world to use. A simple person can’t drop out of college and think they can create a social networking site without having basic knowledge of coding or even glitches a site can have. Sure, Steve Jobs dropped out but without that calligraphy class in college, fonts wouldn’t be so easily accessible. Dropping out was not made for everyone to succeed. It’s not an easy decision to make when the dropout could end up in the unemployment road along with hundreds of others competing for the same job. Still, we have many dropouts that have been increasing over the years and the United States holds the highest percentage in dropouts. The student comes in motivated and ready to work and should leave the same way. College helps financially and ethically, because in order to get a job qualifications need to be met.
