The Importance Of My College Life

There is no greater achievement to a person like progressing to a higher level of education. I thought to myself; this is a great step for me and a life changing event. Little did I know that it would change my life for the worse? To many students, joining a college is a great achievement as well as a source of joy. One may think that as soon as they join college, they will have the freedom they never had back in high school. Some students go to the extent of having a goal list of the crazy things they plan on doing once they join campus. My college life was the greatest turning point of my life. I thought that this would be my excellent opportunity to make new friends. Back in high school, I was among the unpopular kids, so I thought this would be a chance for me to re-invent myself. She said that she had always doubted my isolation. She stated that she had always speculated that I was using drugs, but she had no concrete evidence. “I saw this coming for a long time now. I am not even surprised. Although I must say, I am disappointed in you,” her exact words as she left the station. I had not imagined such an incident could happen to an innocent soul like mine. In all my life I had never touched drugs. I even had no idea how cocaine looked like. I threw myself back to the bench wondering why I had lived such a clean life free of drugs only to be accused later on. After about twelve hours, my bail was posted, and I was set free. I left the station and headed back to the college. I headed straight to my dormitory to take a rest. All the reasons as to why I should use drugs dawned on me.
