Every person that you know is or has attended a type of school, whether they advance farther into the educational spectrum is a different topic. There are different levels of education; the two that I will be contrasting are High School and College. Although both have similar aspects I will be discussing the differences between the two. College is not mandatory while High School is. Colleges are expensive while High Schools are usually free and lastly Colleges are more self-managed than High School. Those are just a few and minor differences between the two that I will go in depth with.
According to the Compulsory School Attendance Law going to school at the age of 7-18 is mandatory thereby you are required to attend high school without a choice. Unlike High school college is a choice. You are not required to attend any type of college. You have the right to choose whether or not you attend college. If you choose not to attend you will not get in any sorts of trouble like you would if you didn’t attend high school. The requirements for high school are different on the attendance than college. In high school you only get five parent notes and after that you are required to have a doctor’s note. In college, while it’s no big deal if you miss a class, you are held liable for the days you missed and the instructor is usually the one who determines how many days one can miss.
