When students graduate from high school, is it necessary for everyone to go to college? No, college is a choice. Depending on what a person wants to do after high school will determine if college is needed or not. College is not the only option students can take after graduation. Some people go into the trades, the military, and family businesses. Some people think you need college to find a good job, but that is not exactly true. One might not make as much money as if they do not go to college, but you can still have a good life without college. There are many different paths one can take other than attending college.

According to the nytimes.com article fewer U.S graduates opt for college after high school by Floyd Norris, Only 65.9 percent attend college after high school. Many people just simply cannot afford it, but there is a way. As mentioned earlier the military is an option people may go into it first, and then go to college because it would now be paid for. Others that cannot afford it will go on and join the workforce right away. On a different note, some people are just not smart enough, and it is okay because of the different options.
