College Informative Essay: College Admission Frenzie

College Admission Frenzie Parents, students, and alumni, all have one situation in common: college was conducted into their minds early in life. Starting in the early 2000’s, college degrees seemed to become more necessary to acquire jobs in America. Because of this, parents seemed to influence their children to start learning more about college at a younger age. A pro to this idea, is that the student gains more knowledge about the necessity, and importance, of a college degree. However, the negative to this, is that the child is taught to fear college from a young age, some even when they start their education career. Also, children are shown what a degree can mean for their future, financially. There are pros, and cons, to the preparation of college starting at an early age. A first reason, why it is a good idea to start the preparation of college early in a child’s life, is because the student learns about the necessity of a college degree to be successful in life. Firstly, the ability to create a better future for the child must start at a young age, because it makes the child realize how much they need an education. If a child does not receive the knowledge of what it takes to prepare for college, then he, or she, will not understand the effort and dedication it takes to achieve the goal of having a college …show more content…
A major positive to this thinking of the parents is, the student learns about the necessity of a college degree to succeed in life. However, a negative to the idea is, students will become more afraid of college for the fact of knowing what the workload entails, along with the dedication. Another positive, is that students learn that opportunities are increased when the student obtains a college degree. College is one of the biggest stepping stones to a more successful life, because a simple degree can create pathways to a better job and soon, to a more well off
