This lack of self-confidence continued throughout my marriage. As I applied for jobs to make money to raise my family, the lack of self-confidence cost me potential jobs, and caused me to have to accept jobs that I didn’t really want. Each time I accomplished something I didn’t think I was going to be able to accomplish, it built that trust in myself. I was starting to believe that I could actually accomplish things that I set my mind to. It may be challenging, but if I focus my mind and energy on it, then I would accomplish it. This trust in myself continued to flourish up until graduation day as Basic Military Training. As I got on the bus, a new Airman First Class in the United States Air Force, watching the training center fade into the horizon, I thought to myself, “I did it. I actually did it. However, none of that can be possible until you believe that you can actually do it. Without that, none of the other skills will matter. None of the other skills can function without that

I’ve decided to research the topic of how upcoming parents fear they might not have the fund to help put their children through college. This is an ongoing worry for most parents, especially those who didn’t receive a college education themselves. But the question that arises the most of what I’ve experienced is “what will the college tuition be when my child does look into going to college?” or “Will I even be able to send my son or daughter to college when it’s time”. As an uncle of four I also fear that my nieces and nephews won’t be able to get into a good college without the big fear of whether or not they will be able to afford it.…
