My Journey and Me A person’s life is full of many destinations that they will arrive at, whether it is as simple as starting school or as extraordinary as traveling to a new country. In fact, most people will have multiple adventures throughout their lives, and these journeys will affect them in every way imaginable. Many people question or change their beliefs, due to their life experiences. A journey may emotionally or physically change you as well. There are even a few journeys that most people take, such as the journey of schooling. Formal education can start as early as when you are four and never truly ends. Along the way your ideas, beliefs, and body will change dramatically. I, personally, have a very interesting school journey that started when I was four years old. My schooling actually starts with failure. You, see I never went to preschool, this was due to the fact that my family could not prove I was born, because we did not have a birth certificate. In fact, my family did not have one for me until I was in kindergarten. School plays a big role in many people’s lives. Though the first couple of years had …show more content…
I was constantly growing taller well after my eighth grade year. During my elementary education years, though, I did experience two major changes. The first is a change many people have, that change being puberty. Puberty began my fifth grade year and ended the summer before my sixth grade year. I got all the fun effects of puberty, from body odor to hair. This played a big role in my journey, being one of the largest physical changes I have experienced. The second major physical change I had was my size. I did not get extremely tall, but I did lose several pounds. I am not exactly sure why, but by the end of eighth grade I was five foot and nine inches, and weighed a mere one-hundred-ten pounds. My body would continue to change as I moved through my
