Skateboarding is actually a very easy way to get hurt. There are many safety tips that should be followed to avoid or reduce the risk of getting injured. I know that when I skateboard, I always wear helmet because my brain is the most important part of my body. Most skateboard injuries happen to kids under the age of fifteen as well as beginners. Advanced skaters also get hurt as well due to trying very extreme tricks. I am an advanced skater and I have gotten hurt several times when I was a beginner and even now as I’m advanced. Skateboarders can become injured from the smallest of things such as pebbles and cracks. Any level of skater can be affected by these things.

Gear is very important in skateboarding.
