Giving back is often thought of when "stars" give to communities in need once they get rich. When Flint,Michigan's water pipes were found to be infested with lead poisoning, early October 2014, celebrities like Madonna and Cher reached out donating $10,000 dollars and 200,000 bottles of water. An admirable contribution, giving back to a community in need and helping others who under the circumstances couldn’t help themselves.However you don’t have to be rich to give back, a great deal of people throughout my life have given me something that have helped me along the way. Whether it be a warm hug, some help with my homework or a laugh, it's the little priceless things that have impacted me the most. This being a person who has given back to me the most would have to be my grandma. From before I was born helping my mom with the pregnancy to when i was growing up teaching me family recipes and how to play the piano. My grandma, though at times a bit odd, is one of the people i am most …show more content…
She later remarried to my step grandfather, who prior to their marriage did time overseas in the army. However whatever he say there and the daily stress of working a 9 to 5 led him to drinking. This made him become a very angry person threatening their lives as they slept at night. This unfortunately caused relationships within the house to be very bad, my mom having a strong tension with my Grandpa as well as my Grandma for staying with him. But with the help of my Grandma he shaped up, stopping his drinking and gambling from before I was born. My grandmother that inspires me, how she continued to have faith and believe that things would get better and eventually they did. She sticks through the rough and tough situations that others would give up on and leave behind
