In the last few years, drinking alcohol and partying has become the most central social behavior among American college students. This kind of behavior has many negative consequences. About 1 out of 4 American college students report academic problems which accurse from drinking and partying, for instance missing classes, doing poorly on exams and papers and receiving lower grades. Previous research has found “That pre-partying is involved in proximally 45% of all drinking events of US student’s. Pre-partying was predictive of more drinking throughout the day of the drinking event and alcohol-related negative consequences” (Eric R. Pedersen, MA; Joseph LaBrie, 2010).
