Well, getting any type of college degree can enlighten business owners just how better qualified you are then a person who did not attend college. Most college graduates tend to earn more than non college graduates. As shown in the survey from Pew Research Center, “Adults who graduated from a four-year college believe that, they are earning $20,000 more a year as a result of having gotten that degree. Adults who did not attend college believe that, on average, they are earning $20,000 a year less as a result. These matched estimates by the public are very close to the median gap in annual earning between a high school and college graduate as reported by the U.S. Census Bureau in 2010: $19,550.” This quote showcases that graduates are making a good bit more money then people who don’t have a college education and this pay gap also can expand or decrease depending on the type of degree and the field of study. Many people are also afraid of the large and expensive payments colleges force students to pay. Well these theories have been shot down because of Congress helping with students loans, payments, etc. As stated by David Leonhardt, “First, many colleges are not very expensive, once financial aid is taken into account. Average net tuition and fees at public four-year colleges this past year were only about $2,000 (though congress may soon cut federal financial aid).” This just shows that as long as a student tries to the best of their ability, they can earn money to help make college a little less expensive so they can succeed in
