Education has become an important factor in in society today. So important that there are hundreds of schools to choose from. Each school has its own qualities that make it unique. The properties of each school are what cause a student to want to go there. The Universities of Wisconsin Madison and Oshkosh both have many qualities that appeal to students worldwide.

The location of UW Oshkosh attracts many students. The campus is not as large and intimidating as other campuses (Career Cruising). This suits a more town oriented student who does not want the large crowds at larger schools. Even though it is smaller than other campuses, it still has many similarities with others. UW Oshkosh has on campus dorms (Career Cruising). This housing is required for both freshmen and sophomores which rids of the stress of choosing a housing situation while enrolling. After the dorm life there is also other options. UW Oshkosh is also home to many fraternities and sororities (Career Cruising). This not only provides a cheaper housing opportunity, but also an opportunity to make new friends. The location is not the only thing that draws students towards UW Oshkosh. The Admission rate for UW Oshkosh is easier to get in than other schools. The average ACT score of acceptance was anywhere from eighteen to twenty three (Career Cruising). This is about the average score for students taking the ACT making it more easily accessible. On top of lower ACT scores, UW Oshkosh is also a cheaper option for a school. The in-state tuition for UW Oshkosh is $15,286 (Career Cruising). This is not only a cheaper option for school, but also a school that gives more opportunities to save money. Like many schools, UW Oshkosh provides many scholarship programs (Career Cruising). Scholarships are available to any student applying to the campus and the scholarship does not have to be in their major. With cheaper admissions, more opportunities become available for students. UW Oshkosh has a vast majority of majors (Career Cruising). There are majors to suit most students with different types for different career paths.
