In my opinion, college athletes should not get paid. Although I agree how college athletes work more than most students and have to juggle between classwork, homework and their “full-time” job as an athlete, they voluntarily decided to join a sport. Athletes are putting their bodies, mind, and time on the line voluntarily, where no one is forcing them to participate. Claims have been made that athletes should be paid because they are performing, however, not every athlete gets injured. Depending on the sport, the injury and chances of injury can vary. Also, not every sport brings in money. Relatively speaking, mostly big programs such as football and basketball, bring in money. Other programs don’t make any money while some even tend to lose
