College Athletes Should Not Get Paid Essay

I believe that NCAA has it right already. College athletes should not be paid to play. They go to college for and education and paid tuition. If college athletes get paid, then they won’t just focus on the game. They will worry about the money and when their getting paid. Money would ruin the NCAA, even if they can afford it like some articles say they can. Again, college athletes should not be paid and that it’s good the way it is. They say that the NBA and NFL players all get paid off revenue, which brings up the point that college athletes bring in the same amount of money as the professionals do. Maybe even more. The point is that athletes must keep a certain GPA to be able to participate in a sporting event. If the student isn’t properly doing this, then they will be benched and not allowed to play. Personally I remember a player named Fab Melo. He played for syracuse. He was an All-American, but failed to keep his academics up. He was benched during March Madness and failed to make it to the next level.
