College athletes should be paid because all of them have to cope with practice and still maintain a certain GPA. College athletes are risking their lives every day playing very demanding sports.Most of the players are poor, and the players might not make it to the pro level because an injury can occur at any random time.
Colleges athletes deserve to be paid because so many of them get injured each year and ruin their chances of going pro. For example, about 47,169 injuries occur in Men’s football each year. Their careers are either cut short or some don't even get a chance to go professional. If the players were paid,and then if all of a sudden they got injured they could still provide for their families.
