There are colleges that are willing to go beyond NCAA rules to win because who wouldn’t want more boosters and alumni willing to give. There is one thing that sports in general and society have is the fact that they are greedy for money. In this materialistic world, when money promotes rule breaking, problems like we are seeing occur on a regular basis. We also have to consider the overexposure of media and being updated every minute on any athlete’s actions. Younger generations of athletes look at athlete’s actions as the typical role of an athlete. One issue in particular is domestic violence. Professional football running back, Ray Rice, is getting every bit of media attention for punching his then fiancée, now-wife in the elevator with his fist. The media is in uproar from watching this heinous act. Since the video was released, it got everyone around the country to the NFL questioning whether his actions should be banished for the season or end the rest of his NFL career for life. From the moment the video starts, there is live evidence to prove Ray Rice’s actions were unethical.
