Paying College Athletes College athletes work hard every day in the academic world and in their athletics. The NCAA has been around for 100 years, that means it's been 100 years that college athletes haven't been paid. I think that college athletes should be paid. College athletes roll in a bunch of money a year for the NCAA. In 2011 the NCAA brought in 10.8 billion dollars. Also, March Madness brought in 9 billion dollars. College athletes deserve something from competing. College athletes are putting their health on the line every time they practice or compete.
