All players will expect the same compensation, for playing a sport whether they are gender, race, or level of skill. Title IX is a very wide-ranging federal law that disallows discrimination on the basis of the sex in any federally funded education program or activity, will always apply so this will require every team to be treated as equals. This includes all sports like tennis players, swimmers, and more. This will become the new normal for all athletes. Paying all teams, male and female, requires an outrageous amount of money as well. These athletes sign on to being both an athlete and a student. One of the stipulations put on them for becoming an athlete for the university is that they are not allowed to have a job while playing. They are obligated to dedicate their time to practice, practice, and more practice in whatever form this may be. So if a student is not on scholarship, then mommy and daddy are the only income they are receiving for their everyday necessities and life. This can be extremely tough on both the student and the parents. If you think about the amount of money a university makes on tickets, apparel, indorsements, and more, due to the student athletes playing a sport and creating a fan base, then it’s hard not to think they should get
