During college, my main goal would be to receive a major in Communications. I also wish to carry opportunities that will reflect the work I did in my years in college. This doesn’t just need to be my job or career that I may accept. I hope to meet people and be connected with moments that will benefit my learning and growing in life. Going to AU would allow me to hold onto these opportunities I crave to draw out of college. The journey at Auburn would be a unique situation for me. This is because, I would be stepping out in an area that I’ve never experienced, but would be stepping out of my comfort zone to succeed. As I said, my selected major at Auburn is Communications. Therefore, being an intern would indicate that I’m not just thrown out into the world after 4 years. Internships provide knowledge that I wouldn’t receive anywhere else. They give chances to apply what I’ve learned to real opportunities. At Auburn, I would be given chances that few places offer. I long to be somewhere that needs me to grow and be successful as much as I intend to. Communications happens to be an umbrella that covers plenty of topics. This means I have to find my niche. The niche I feel as though I could find myself in is a Communications Director or Media Relations Manager. This is a goal of mine after college that I have the impression Auburn University could guide me to reach. As a result, putting the internship into the mix, you notice the advantage that one could possibly have. Having work experience once I leave college implies that I will have an upper hand and an understanding of what I’m getting into.
