If you are fortunate enough to know exactly what you want to do with your life then go for it! Don’t look back and give it your all. However, most people have no idea what they want to do with the rest of their lives. I thought I had it all figured out. I was always so passionate about fashion; I loved it. Especially my senior year of high school because I was taking a college level fashion business course. I put all my time and effect into that class. Even when I got to FIT I still loved it. Although, it was a lot of work and I lost a lot of sleep I didn’t mind it because it was what I loved. You are suppose to sacrifice things to get to where you want to be. However, my sophomore year of college I took this class called Career Planning. …show more content…
You could tell she genuinely cared about the class and our lives. She didn’t teach by the book and she had us reflect a lot on ourselves. Not teaching by the book I think is the best way to teach. Reflecting on what you think is great because everyone has a different opinion and someone else’s opinion could positively affect …show more content…
I truly think about where they started to where they are now. No path is straight or smooth and it is nice to know people who are successful didn’t have it easy either. There is always going to be obstacles and I have accepted that. However, listening to all these speakers talk about how they thought they wanted to do one thing and now they are doing the complete opposite gets me thinking. I have a few passions, so is fashion my main one? Does it over power my other passions? Or do I have a greater passion I have yet to

Deciding what you are going to do for the rest of your life is one of the most important decisions you will ever make, and the most nerve wrecking. All my life I was repeatedly told to become a lawyer or doctor that I was drawn away from those career choices. I started college as an undeclared major because I had no idea who I wanted to become. Professors repeatedly told me not to worry it will come to me, but after 2 years of college I was still clueless about what I wanted to do and I was rushed into picking a major. I declared sociology as my major.…

“I am a military spouse.” That’s a proud statement I have had the pleasure of calling myself for almost two years now. In the grand scheme of life, two years is not considered a long time. In such a short amount of time I have been accomplished much through school, church, and extracurricular activities. In 18 years I have lived in three different houses, attended four different schools, and have become interested in theatre arts; I have been through many, many pets and witnessed the funerals of many family members; I have attended Governors School, one of the most prestigious things for a high school student to do; and have loved every minute. It is truly crazy for a person like me to think of where they will be and what they will be doing in 15 years, the possibilities are endless, but if I needed to sit down and decided or create a plot of life I would have to start with the beginning. In the next five years of my life I see myself as a person that will grow into a greater theatrically inclined person and striving to still be better, still see the limit is nowhere in sight.…

The influences I have had throughout my life have brought me to wanting to pursue my life in the career path of nursing. Also I have been exposed to many other things, but one thing that has stuck as an interest to me since I was four years old was cheerleading, and I would consider myself more knowledgeable in that subject than most. All of these things wouldn’t be in my life if it had not been for my sponsors of literacy that I have had throughout my life.…
