I started focusing on what i wanted to do which was go out and hang with my friends and just have fun in general. Looking back now,

The only thing that people are entitled to is what they have earned. To expect that somebody else is going to carry the burden of your own shortcomings is just wrong. From the time a child is young until they are in their senior years, the expectation is that they will be a contributing member of society and work hard for the things that they have. Those who earn their own living have less of an entitlement issue, because they display a different sense of pride that comes with achieving their life goals through a determination focused work ethic. I am a perfectionist, a firm believer that if one puts enough dedication and effort, any personality flaw can be corrected. However, it was not until I read a couple of books from Josh MacDowell and sections of Summa Theologica that I understood this valuable principle. Although this labeling was sometimes based on a superficial evaluation of my personality; eventually, I understood that no matter what my opinion was if I wanted to be accepted by my peers and succeed in a collective society I would need to implement some changes. So, by my early twenties and after reaching some degree of maturity, I engaged myself in reading literature concerning spiritual growth and virtuosity.…
