Within my community, I was able to enroll as a high school student and college student through a dual enrollment program. I was able to take a Certified Nursing Assistant course. Through the CNA course, I traveled to Chelsea Retirement Community for my clinical hours. The experience I had was priceless. I not only met some amazing individuals who reside there, but I have also worked with people that truly helped me grow. I want to study pre-medicine and eventually attend medical school, yet I wanted to obtain my CNA certification to gain experience. I want to be a ‘good doctor’ but in order to do that I believe that I am obligated to be a strong team member. Health care needs a team of professionals that aren’t great as individuals, but great together. To develop as a better team member, I wanted to experience health care as a nurse aide. This was a step that I took to get closer to my goal of attending medical school. In order to attend medical school, there are many steps I need to take in high school and undergraduate education. I plan to study in the pre-medical program. The human brain and nervous system fascinates me the most and in a way music has always been my medicine. My personal passions are important to me so I plan on majoring in neuroscience and minoring in music. I then plan on attending medical school and I have considered specializing in the field of pediatrics throughout my neuroscience
