The Power of Vulnerability As the development of the society, competition becomes stronger and stronger. Most of the people have high pressure of work because they think they are not good enough to compete with others. In order to show their abilities, they try to hide their weakness. When we talk about vulnerability, we will be unsatisfied with ourselves because we think that it’s the downside of our life. Brown gives us new ideas of vulnerability. If a person prefers to show his vulnerability, he is worth of love because he needs to have a good attitude and enough courage. Though it is hard for people to show his imperfect point, they will have a simple and happy life. Those people will live easier because they do not need to maintain a perfect style in front of others. Also, they have to overcome all difficulties, which all the disadvantage …show more content…
Comparing to it, it is also difficult to improve our weakness because most people may not understand your actions and think it is useless. But we should insist on doing things what we believe. When I first came to U.S, I thought it was important to join different activities and made friends with local people so that I could fit into new environment easily. Most of my friends disagreed with it because we could stay with Chinese friends at school. I insisted on continuing my plan so I joined marching band, volunteer jobs, and clubs. Though I felt lonely and sad at the beginning, I learned a lot through communicating with local students. During the whole process, I learned a new instrument in the band and knew the whole process to apply for the job. While I applied for college, I got to benefit from those outside activities. I was appreciated that I joined those activities by myself, though I did not feel good at first. When we find ways to improve weakness, we should focus on it and believe ourselves.
