What is courage? According to Webster dictionary, courage is the ability to act even in the presence of fear. Thinking back on the short 17 years I have been alive, I realize that I have never displayed courage. Ever. Fear seems to rule my life. From what I wore to school, to who I was friends with, to how I acted with my family members. Fear seemed like it was always there in my life.

So, if in every instance that fear was present I cowered in the corner, how will I ever be able to follow any of my dreams? I've realized that I need to have the courage to follow them. If I ever leave my parents house, the place I have felt safe for so many years, and venture out into the world, I need courage, but maybe the first step of finding courage is
