Although I’m changing everyday, there are certain qualities that will always remain the same. I am very involved and committed to activities inside of school and outside of school. I’ve been involved with the school by cheering for football and basketball games all 4 years of high school and joining such as Key Club and DECA. Since people do travel long ways to go to college I feel as though some of the sense of comfort is lost within the change of community and I’m willing to make people feel that comfort as they are away from home. I also believe I can benefit the community with spirit as I will be trying out for the cheer team if I do happen to get accepted. However, I think the community can benefit me by giving me a sense of responsibilities that I do not withhold at this time of my life. I think the community will benefit me to become better at problem solving skills that will help me in my future with my career I wish to do. I also feel that helping me work with others, which is a skill I need to possess in later parts of my life can benefit me. As I grow and proceed off to College ,I wish to major in Criminal Justice. I have chosen this major because something has always sparked my interest when it came to helping other people. I wish to work with Juvenile Delinquents because, I believe everyone has a good soul, but just the hard times get to them and make them do certain

My dirty, scarred and callused hands hung by my side, my God Father’s ancient mason trial gripped loosely by numb fingers. I took pride in what my hands represented to me: hard work, dedication, commitment and reward. As the blazing sun bore down on my shirtless back, I stood soaked from sweat. I felt older than my years and stared out at what I created. It was a beautiful flagstone sidewalk sparkling with variations of pale blue, fiery orange, conservative grey, and powerful purple stones.…

The medal hid under a stack of clothes inside my closet–a painful reminder of immoralities that I am capable in doing. Most people would always be jubilant when they hear they earned a prize, but instead, I just had my head down for the rest of the day, heavy with contempt. A great man by the name of Jack Lord once said “What you have, what you are - your looks, your personality, your way of thinking - is unique. We all have a story to tell, we are all unique. If someone were to describe me in three words I would have to say that most likely this person would say that I am intelligent, helpful, and creative. Instead of thinking failing negatively, those uncomfortable experiences actually made me improve as I had taken more auditions.…
