College Admissions Essay: The Epidemic Of Pain

Far beyond salvation in this world, I sit there, as my frame remains silent of motion, and feeling psychologically numb, filled with an indescribable sort of pain. As a victim of an untreated disorder, with a distorted mindset, I lay famished and in a mental agony, nowhere near a romantic acceptance. No music, nor any type or sound was to be heard and no writers commemorated this sort of numbness in their work. The world was numb; no feeling whatsoever and I was nothing more than a lifeless shell, hoping that a change would occur to pull me out of the rabbit hole, someday. For a moment, I remain in the same position, watching, and then strode away, gripped with oblivion. I did not feel sorrow, guilt, pain, insecurities, nor motivation, or energy; I felt as if my world was empty and numb, and the only thing I could ever do was cry. …show more content…
I was not dealing with an attention deficit disorder. In fact, I was a normal child who could not focus sometimes because my life was so much pressure outside of the classroom, that I brought my feelings with me each day. Around my sophomore year of high school, things only seemed to worsen with my hormones.I felt so lost and alone walking down this path of life, that year. Your story has not ended yet. Yet, maybe, you're still stuck on the same chapter. Further change has not happened. Failure has indeed happened, and I have overcome and learned a great amount from it. I failed chemistry sophomore year because I lost sight of my goals and gave up. Our achievements and failures all play a key part in who the person we become. It introduces the complex process of growing up. We ourselves, control what our destiny will be
