Obviously, I soon learned none of those beliefs hold any truth in reality. A good portion of my life was spent anticipating my high school years, but now that I am a junior, I do not feel the way I anticipated I would. In elementary school, I participated in the school enrichment programs; once eighth grade came around, I had taken an IQ test and been placed in three ninth grade honors classes. Last year, I took my first AP class (AP Euro) and fell in love with Advanced Placement. After years of having questions in honors courses, I finally had answers. Personally, I learn better when given the “big picture”; from those broad ideas, I can easily connect and understand the details of a subject. Towards the end of October, I will be attending a prayer retreat, and hopefully in the summer I will be heading to Zambia for a missions outreach. The love I carry is partly a result of skill, partly a result of experience. It’s deep, like the ocean that surrounds us. Sports and athletics have had such an impact on my life, I can’t ever see myself stopping.…
