She was a petite cat, thinner now that her kittens were born. She was a sweet, young girl entirely enamored by the squirming babies and their mother living in our garage. The morning was normal until we opened the door to see the horrifics of a cat battling death. My sister, a girl whose kindness created hardship, attempted to save her beloved cats from the nuisance of fleas, only to bring the unwavering wrath of misused medication upon the mother. A dosage meant for a fifty pound dog was running its course through the slight cat's body. The vet said the outcome would be bleak. As the calmest to comprehend the situation, I followed the vet's brief instructions. I bathed the cat with dish soap and hoped for the best. The sight …show more content…
The memory of watching life triumph has changed my perspective on how I live and is a reminder to work each day to fulfill the changes one wishes to see. Medicine is an amazing resource that saves lives; nonetheless, it is also an underrated peril. Without the proper medication and the correct directions to use it, medicine can be a fatal mistake. My sister and I have tragically seen the effects of medicine unknowingly used wrong when our cat was poisoned by flea medication. My dream occupation is Pharmacy because I want to help people ensure they do not find themselves hurt by the treasure of medicine and instead are healed and strengthened by its use. Pharmacy is a field in which I will be able to use math and science to aid in promoting well-being in others' lives. I am tremendously grateful for the exploration and development of new medicine and I recognize all the benefits it provides in multitudes of lives, I want to have a part in making that difference daily. I know pharmacy is the sublime occupation for me because I have always felt an undeniable curiosity for the statistics and characteristics of medicine and its creation. A career in pharmacy will permit me to have sanctioned time to study topics that tremendously interest me and then be able to apply that knowledge when I am in the work
