Well, that is a difficult problem to address, isn’t it? It is often true that we do not know what we do not know in light of the fact that we do not know it. I could be lazy and say something like, “I do not know what country is going to send humans to Mars first,’ or, ‘I do not know if extraterrestrial life exists,” but how could we know everything that we do not know if indeed we do not know it and have never known about it? If we have known it before and forgotten, it is not difficult for an object, event, or individual to jog our memory, yet unless new data is introduced, the unknown cannot be known. However, there are infinitely more subjects that I do not know anything about and never will. It is my desire to learn as much as I can during the remainder of my formal educational career, and while I wish to continue learning for decades after that has ended, I find that it is much more important to come to terms with the fact that neither I nor any living man can yet know everything there is to know by heart. Perhaps it is foolish to pursue such a goal in our current evolutionary and technological states of existence. In today’s day and age, we know that the need for retained knowledge and information is being shifted from individuals and more primitive storage media to the internet. While in a multitude of cases today it is still valuable to retain details specific to your trade or other regular needs, information needed only on rare occasion is quickly and readily accessible with the utmost ease. There is no need to memorize how to change a tire, I could just watch a YouTube tutorial on my phone when my current one
