Planning my future hasn’t been the easiest process especially since my career goal is to become a surgeon. I am the first in my family to complete high school and continue on to college straight after, so I feel there is a lot of weight on my shoulders, lots of people telling me to make a backup plan or reconsider my life goals. I’ve never been one to shy away from a challenge but when you hear little whispers of doubt it's hard to face those challenges with confidence. It’s hard being raised to a higher standard, but there is something that will always keep me afloat and that is my grandma. She is the boat that always seems to save me when I think I am drowning.
