College, the word that continues to terrify students for generations. According the Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Unfortunately, the value for a good education has taken a toll on many students across the state. They are often forced to change their passion due to their low income and high university prices. Although most result to community colleges, they are unable to receive job offers due to their competition. Referring back to the quote, a child can not fight off the hardships of life without the most powerful weapon, education.
In the future, the issue will only worsen as local prices immensely increasing. It will result in discourage students dropping out high school or college. Without vital education, the success in finding a paid job high enough to support a family is relatively slim. …show more content…
There will multiple internships in multiple fields such as STEM, performing arts, and business. A program where they can achieve hands-on experience. Unlike ordinary school, where students participate in sample scenarios, this program will give teenagers the real experience they’ve yearned for. It is known that students remember knowledge better through occurrences in real life rather than lectures. Through this, students will also get paid for their internships and receive guidance from a boss or mentor. The money earned from their work can either go towards their families or the student’s future education. In addition applying for colleges will be simpler as well due to the amount of knowledge they’ve acquired from their internships. The effect of the program can transfer after college due to the fact that they’ve already worked in the field as a high school student.
