My passion for photography
Have you ever wanted to live in a moment forever? I have, and that is why i am passionate about photography. Photography is the act of taking and processing pictures. My passion for photography came from a trip I had taken to Yellowstone National Park, where I saw so many beautiful sights and I wanted to save them all. My mom took me to a store nearby and bought me a camera and I took a bunch of pictures and had them developed. The reason I wanted to keep these pictures is so that I could look at them and remember all of the amazing views and memories that were made there. I went on this trip about three years ago, when I was in fifth grade, and I have loved photography ever since. Anyone can get involved, there

I have dabbled with art ever since I was a toddler. I would draw anywhere I went: school, home, and even at church. It started out as a hobby, but soon, I immersed myself into the world of art by integrating art with medicine. I have always found medical dramas to be particularly intriguing. Developing into this interest, I started writing my own medical journal, where I took notes from a book called Gray’s Anatomy and from the medical dramas I watched.…

My passion for Chemistry started in year 7, the teacher I had for science made the subject interesting and fun, so I looked forward to every science lesson I had. The areas of chemistry that interest me are inorganic and organic chemistry as you can learn a lot about how and why different substances react in different situations. I also enjoy physical chemistry, because it allows you to apply chemistry to life situations. In addition, the skills I have learnt from chemistry are varied.…

I grew up in what is considered a low income family, but I’ve always wanted to go to college. Before I even understood the concept of degrees, I would tell my parents “I want to go to college for seven years!” because I thought we could just choose how long we could go to college for. As I grew up, my goals became realistic. Instead of being president, however, I now want to do something that involves helping others and educating.…

Elliott Erwitt said, “Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” While Elliott Erwitt was talking specifically about photography, this concept applies to many aspects of life, including how we see each other. I want to view others and be viewed by others through the lens of creativity, understanding, and appreciation for all kinds of beauty.…

The heat from the stage lights, the watchful gazes of the audience, and the sweat dripping off of our faces as we struggle to remember our lines, these sensations of being on stage are what caused the performing arts to become not only an activity, but also a passion and an unexpected source of personal growth. Through my experiences in drama and music I have been able to discover my own meaning of fulfillment and define who the person behind my appearance truly is. My passion in the performing arts started when I was a young child first learning to play the violin. Picking up the violin at the age of 6, I became stuck on one of the most basic songs for almost a whole year. At that time no one believed that I could play the violin, my teacher thought that I was too hyperactive and even my mom attempted to convince me to quit.…

As I sat contemplating what to write my essay about, I realized that there was only one thing that I truly wanted to write about, and that is my love for fashion. Growing up I was surrounded by sports and Catholicism. In a small, conformed town, it was difficult to have passions that differed from everyone else, and although I participated in sports growing up, and would be nowhere without my faith, I was lucky enough to find a passion that made me different. Being that three of the four children in my family are girls, Barbie dolls and baby dolls were prominent objects in our house. My sisters…

I wasn’t born an artist or particularly skilled at all, but I knew from a young age that talents are what set us apart from others and make us unique.
