It also taught me that if you want something, you have to work hard for it. My high school didn’t offer AP classes, so I took mine online. I loved science and took all of the courses available, and when we ran out at the highschool, I went to the local college to take more. I am committed to continuously furthering my knowledge. Growing up in a small town also taught me that I am ready to leave. I am ready to spread my wings and join a new community- a college community. I want to go see the bluffs and do homework on the grass. I want to play intramural volleyball and become best friends with my floormates. I want to experience new things and try new foods. In college I plan to take challenging courses, meet people from all over the country, break free of my comfort zone, and become wholly renewed. I want to make mistakes and learn, through experience, how to fix them. I want to stay up until all hours of the morning studying for finals, and more than anything I want to become a part of the hardworking, dedicated community at UW
