I attended college for almost a year before I broke my right arm, which for a person not really interested in attending, and dropped out. I figured that if my job paid enough, I wouldn't need the degree. I would be able to make it without doing the work everyone said I would have to do.

I always thought by the time I had kids and was married, I would have my degree completed. At the minimum, I would have the bachelors completed and working on my masters.
Surprisingly, my step-son, and I are attending college at the same time. He is at UTM and I am at Bethel. It has been strange at times when people ask about it, but it works out very well at other times. I have been able to help him do things that he didn't understand. The funniest part is that my sister is in school as well and we are almost positive to graduate together.

Life can be difficult at times for everyone. When I dropped out of school, both times, I always felt that I had a legitimate reason for stopping. At this point in my life, I can not foresee any reason that would give my just cause to stop what I have started for my life. It can be very hilarious when I stop and think about it. When I was young with no children or bills, I feel that I had the best opportunities given to me and I let them pass me by.
