College Admissions Essay: My Goals For Myself

During the age of fourteen, I’ve had important events that have made me who I am now, which also made me set up goals for myself. When I was a little girl, I knew that I had to do something good later in life after looking at how hard my parents worked for me to have a better future. As a freshman, I had a rough start of the year, but I managed to get back up and learn lessons out of my freshman year experience, creating the person I am now.

As a middle schooler, I began to think of careers I’d want to follow, which made me find what I wanted to do. First I wanted to be a teacher but it wasn’t something that I really wanted for myself. Then I kept searching through the web, realizing that I want to be a pediatrician, since I love children so much. I know I dream too big because a doctor career is a very expensive, but then I said to myself don’t give up yet. I decided to write that becoming a pediatrician would be my big goal for myself.

When I was four years old I remember how my parents left me with babysitters early in the morning so they could go to work. When I started freshman year no one told how it would be; I thought it wouldn’t be so hard. I never knew how important homework was until my grades began to drop. But one day I saw my grades and I said to myself a change has to be done.
