College Admissions Essay: Moving To America

Coming from a family with no education background no college background was the biggest struggle in my life. As my parents put me on a flight, brought me to America I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Coming from the other side of the world; Russia, I had no idea how to live the American life and speak the American language. It was like a new beginning for me to everything. My life, my language, my education. Growing up I always had the motivation to be successful in school. I have always wanted to grow up and help people and become a person who people can look up too. Coming to America I was really motivated to go to school and succeed in school. I went through a lot of trials and tribulations in my life because my parents never went to school and I was the first person in my family to attend college. Go to college with a huge struggle for me because my language wasn't perfect. I have been in America now for about eight years, I can finally say that I have made it to a point in life where I can attend college and get a degree and make my family happy.

I can't imagine where I would be in life right now if I wasn't in America. Coming from a family with no background in education, very poor, and no insight about the American lifestyle. I can say I'm very thankful to be able to pursue my dreams and education and going to get my bachelors degree. I have one dream left and that is to pursue my bachelors degree and be the first kid and my family to get a college degree and make my family's dream come true. I kepted my heart strong, I kept my head up and I have made it to the day where I can attend college and become the person who I always wanted to become.
